As a creative tool designed to simplify content creation, the category leans heavily on tutorials and feature demonstrations. While effective at communicating function, this approach often blends into a feed saturated with similar messaging. The challenge was clear: how to demonstrate product value without falling into the patterns audiences have learned to ignore.</p> <p>Adobe Express responded by rethinking the premise entirely. Rather than positioning the product as a solution to a problem, the campaign 'Catch Feelings, Not Features' reframed the role of the product as a tool for transforming everyday experiences into something worth sharing. The shift was from utility to emotional expression.</p> <p>This approach was grounded in a key insight: people don't share features, they share feelings. Social platforms increasingly reward content that is entertaining, repeatable, and culturally resonant. Music, in particular, has emerged as a dominant format across TikTok and Instagram, offering a level of replayability and shareability that traditional tutorial content cannot match.</p> <p>To bring this idea to life, Adobe Express partnered with creator Lewky, whose content is built on turning everyday, often awkward or frustrating moments into original music. Lewky created a series of original songs, each built around a relatable scenario and subtly incorporating Adobe Express features into the creative process. The product was embedded within the entertainment itself, functioning as the tool that enabled the creative output.</p> <p>The campaign ran as a sustained, nine-month partnership across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, prioritizing consistency and platform-native storytelling. Rather than relying on paid amplification, content was distributed through Lewky's established channels, ensuring authenticity and organic discovery. Each piece of content acted not only as an individual asset, but as part of a larger, ongoing narrative that audiences could return to over time.</p> <p>The results challenged a common industry assumption. Instead of declining engagement, the partnership maintained steady performance across all four quarters, with engagement rates holding above 5% throughout the campaign. Cumulatively, the campaign delivered 32 million interactions and 1.9 million engagements, with share rates three times higher than traditional tutorial benchmarks.</p> <p>More importantly, the content demonstrated repeatable cultural traction. Individual songs became shareable artifacts, extending beyond Lewky's existing audience and attracting new viewers with each release. High levels of comments, saves, and shares indicated active participation, not passive consumption, while consistent performance over time suggested that audience interest was sustained rather than novelty-driven.</p> <p>The success of the campaign also extended beyond a single product. The strength of the model led to expansion into Adobe Acrobat, where the creative concept was adapted into a new context, reinforcing the scalability of the approach across the broader Adobe ecosystem.</p> <p>'Catch Feelings, Not Features' offers a clear lesson for brands operating in content-saturated environments. Entertainment earns attention in a way that traditional product messaging cannot. Long-term partnerships, when built on creative value rather than repetition, can generate compounding returns instead of diminishing ones.
